I have the ad30... and behringer pedals (yeah i know)
But even with the lower quality stuff i have, I've borrowed a few pedals like the DOD fx86 and my friends BF-3 and they sounded great.

It really loves pedals. I can get pretty much any tone I want out of it with my 2 dirt pedals and my wah

thanks. I really like the built in distortions for hard rock stuff, but I like to play metal too, so I'll probably pick up the amp and get a metal zone or something.

Get a Metal Muff instead of the metal zone, if you want a distortion pedal.

Another option is to put a OD in front of the gain channel. It fattens up the tone and tightens up the low end nicely.
