If i was looking my VK 112 into more "metal" territory, what tubescreamer would be best?

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

Buy my TS808 clone (PM if interested), get a Maxon OD808 or OD9.

why does everyone think you have to get a tubescreamer? depending on you budget, i would say go for a visual sounds jekyll and hyde.

Maybe because the OD of the jekyll and hyde is a TS clone.

well it is kind of the go-to overdrive pedal. the large majority of all OD pedals are very similar to the Tubescreamer.
in fact, the OD side of the pedal you mentioned, is a tubescreamer clone.

well i meant that people automatically suggest it. and i was actually recommending it because its pretty versatile. I just dont find the ts the best for metal but maybe for the valveking its good.

its a discontinued model.

Its said that Stevie Ray Vaughan used one of these at some point, that's all I know about these pedals.

Haha, letting you switch between ICs. Does it make much sound difference?
