What are some lyrics that used to make a lot of sense some time ago but are either out of place or irrelevant right now? I got the idea when I was listening to Freedom by RATM the other day and while a lot of their lyrics are still pretty relevant, the lyrics,
"Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list
All live, never on a floppy disk"
almost out of place because of pretty obvious reasons.

"Fun, fun, fun 'till her daddy takes the T-Bird away"

Seeing as they don't make them anymore.

By the time most lyrics made release they were irrelevant anyways...
God and Country are an unbeatable team; they break all records for oppression and bloodshed.

Most lyrics don't get outdated and can be applied to a situation today.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Oh, never heard it called that before, and I think Frankie says "relax" was about people wanting the song to be banned, so I'm guessing the song may have had an explicit topic. E.G: teh buttsekzorz

a lot of older political songs have outdated lyrics, like Holiday in Cambodia bt the DK or Holiday in the Sun by the Sex Pistols.

All 70s punk songs.

All of them.

eh? I don't really see how songs like Beat on the Brat and the KKK Took my Baby Away are outdated, same with a lot of the more generic political songs.

"Party like it's 1999"

And of course, Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire".

A lot of 70s punk songs weren't political at all. A lot of the songs still fit.

"Two, three the count with nobody on
He hit a high fly into the stand...."

From Brown Eyed Handsome Man by Chuck Berry. They don't announce the count in baseball like that anymore. (Yes, they used to announce it with strikes first)
