In the movie "Cast Away" Tom Hanks is a delivery person for FedEx. He gets on a plane to deliver packages to their destination. The plane crashes, stranding him a deserted island.
As you who have seen the movie may know, he keeps one of the packages he finds washed up on shore and delivers it at the end of the movie. Here's the dilemma:

If he lives in the US, boarded the plane in the US, and the packages were meant to go to the US, then why did the plane ever fly over an ocean?

I've found countless loopholes like this but I can't remember them all.

Anyone else?

It's just a movie; they can't be 100% accurate all the time.

yeah but that would be a HUGE plot hole, I'm sure theres a minor line of dialog somewhere that explains it.

He was in Memphis at the FedEx home base then he gets called away to an Asian destination. Why there are packages destined for US addresses is the real loop hole.

Ones where they go back in time are usually completely flawed - But that is very blatant.

I don't remember that the packages were being sent to the US...I thought the package with the wings was headed for Moscow, because we see the recipient in the opening sequence. And Moscow, last I checked, is not in the US.

In the original 'Fellowship of the Ring' when Sam and Frodo are standing in the field at the start (Sam is saying he's never been further from home), you can see a car going along the road in the background. Or so my brother tells me.

These are flaws, not loopholes. Others include:

In many movies (we'll use the first Matrix movie as an example), you can see a reflection of the camera crew in reflective surfaces. In the Matrix, you see a camera lens in the shot of a door knob.

In Star Wars Episode IV, there are several instances of items appearing or disappearing between shots, such as: The coat behind Luke when he receives his father's lightsaber, and the number of blasters in the control room with R2D2 and C3PO.

there this french film about the french revolution (happened in 1789) and one of the guys in th flim is wearing a watch lol.

heres some typical things you find in hollywood flims:
1) in war films the enemies (usually russians or germans) dont have to speak ther own language, its enough if they speak english with a german or russian accent lol

2) every shopping bag has a baguette

3) erm there are more but i cant rememberem.

Also, in action films, the guys who are about to attack the Hero, let's NOT say Chuck Norris, mke some kind of a circle around him and attack one by one, instead of attackin all toghether and beat the hell out of the guy...

If you are really interested visit MovieMistakes.com and see.

And it could have been that the plane was making a stop somewhere else, THEN delivering the U.S. stuff. Unlikely? Sure.

It's called Cloverfield, because "Cloverfield" is a codename for carpet bombing manhatten. Because it will become a Cloverfield

Flaw in 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.'

In the scene where they are about to blow up the bridge, a car is seen in the cliffs in the background. Saw it during media studies and was like '?!'
