I'm selling my microcube and am thinking of getting an Epiphone Valve Jr.

I just need something for practice. I'm gonna go try one out sometime this week, but is it a good amp for practice?

I'm new to tube amps, but will I be able to get a good sound at low volumes?

I play a lot of chili peppers, Hendrix, funkish stuff, Nirvana.

It's a good amp. If it's just for practice I would probably keep the cube since it has effects and modelling.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Oh I forgot to mention, I want to switch from the cube also because I have no way to control effects besides stopping play and going to my amp. I need the use of pedals and they don't sound good on the cube.
