Hey guys, I'm looking to add a volume pedal to the rig,
I don't know anything about them, so whats good?
Ive heard bad things about EB... Good things about Vox.
Also, will certain volume pedals decrease pedal effects?
Dont want ANY tone suckage.
If so, lets steer away from those.
<---- lol wtf

Thw Vox V850 is a very good pedal at a very good price, well, it's stil costly for a potentionmeter, but alot better than some... It's rock solid and I advise it. There's not tone suckage as it is just a giant pot attached to a bit of mild steel (<0.3 wt% C )

EDIT: Holy crap, it's also vintage. so cross that out.
Is passive bufferage good?

I've got the Ernie Ball VP Junior (6180 - pic in profile here ) and it is a very well made piece of kit. The finish is brushed aluminium and the action is very smooth...plus Mark Knopfler uses EB (as well as Dave Gilmour) so they can't be that bad! Highly recommended. Give it a try!

All the best

That was the one I was looking at originally. Yes, VERY good pedal. But I felt £100 was too steep, plus I already had Vox V847 wah, so the V850 seemed to fit into my rig better aesthetically lol... Sad I know. ll swell pedals are waaay too overpriced, but the EB is ever so smooth... Meh... you're making ME re-think now! lol
