if you had to choose 1 out of these 5 rigs, which one would it be ?

1) Fender stratocaster
Fender twin reverb
ibanez ts808

(the "blues" rig)

2) gibson les paul standard
Marshall plexi

(the "rock" rig)

3) Jackson SL1 soloist
Engl screamer

(the "metal" rig, sorry if it sucks but i'm not into metal so i don't know much about metal gear either)

4) fender telecaster
fender '59 bassman

( the "country" rig)

5) gibson es 335
fender 5E3 deluxe

(the "blues-rock" rig or "jazz" rig)

don't take this too seriously, it's just for fun and of course everyone has certain preferences for guitars and amps so i just took the more 'mainstream' guitars and gear.

let the voting begin !

don't worry - that's a good thing. like when someone needs a break. sorry if it was a bad choice of words.

The last rig. Don't know much about the 5E3 though. And I would say a Strat is more of a blues rock guitar than an ES, which is more blues to me.

My 2 cents.

EDIT: No love for Vox?

1 for the freakin win.
Except screw the TS and make it a tweed bassman or BF super reverb.
Call me Wes.
Gear:
Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat
Chicago Blues Box Roadhouse
Bad Cat Cougar 5
1957 Gibson GA-5
Ceriatone 18w TMB Combo
Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor
Various Ibanez TS9s
Weber MASS Attenuator

i'm sure you know it, it's this one:

IMO, an es335 sounds fatter and more suited to blues rock than a strat. but hey, it's just a game.

i thought about throwing in an ac30 for "punk" but i figured that would get a bit too stereotypical .

That's that 12 watter from the fifties, isn't it? I played a reissue one of those, and it was pure sex.

I'm happy with my choice. Very much so.

Give me P-90's in the ES, and I'll be a happy man.

Well obviously I vote the rock rig but im not an overly huge fan of les pauls....... or marshalls...... lol
Fender Deluxe Strat HSS
Fender Standard Strat
Fender Highway 1 Tele
Epiphone Les Paul Standard
Orange Rocker 30 Combo
Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Mayhem
Roland Microcube
Boss Micro BR
Korg Pitchblack
EHX Holy Grail
Hohner 3/4 Classical

Make Rig 3 with an ENGL savage SE or a Soldano SLO-100
I voted 3

Although rig 1 with an Eric Johnson strat would be awesome too.

No love for the tele and bassman? You awfull people.

I was tempted to pick that one (after all, Albert Collins was the Master of the Telecaster. Muddy Waters played one as well), but I love the ES so much, I couldn't say no.

#1 here, but I dig my indie rig:

Rickenbacker 360/6
Vox AC30

+1

I played my first real Ricky the other day when I bought m new Strat (pics soon), and was blown away. The neck is like othing I've ever played before.

I also tried an "Indie" Rick copy at £279 and was nearly convinced to go for it as it was a pretty good impostor at the price and I could never afford a real Rick.

Just my own preference, but for a blues rock/rock rig I would love Mesa Mark 1 and Gibson SG.

People in wales unite

I picked the country rig, but I'd use it for blues rock and jazz rock.
Not taking any online orders.

i picked #3 , but was very close to picking 2, because of the Marshall, but i really don`t like LP`s.

look in my sig, then add a MRX 10 band EQ.... AWSOME metal rig.
#37
I went for 1, just because I read an awesome article on srv an hour or so ago.

There should be

Rig 7 = Rick 360 - Vox AC30

Rig 8 = LP Jr - Marshall
#38
well, a bassman really isnt very country and a 5E3 deluxe isnt much of a jazz amp.
but i would go with #1 and replace the twin with a super. i wouldnt need the headroom.
