hi, I've got a fender Roc Pro 700 hybrid (tube drive channel, clean SS) I'm planning on building this overdrive:

very simple, will be my first official pedal build.

1) Q1 is a transistor right? but i couldn't find that part number..BC549..any suggestions on replacement?

2) S2 is labeled 'CLIP' , would this be a SPDT on-off-on switch?

3) should I true-bypass the entire thing because the buffer will suck the tone out of my rig?

everything else for that is good i think.

i wanted to include this on the circuit so im getting clean power:

A) but that diode is literally impossible to find, can you help me out with a replacement/suggestion for the same effect, just so im not getting the fluctuation of power going through the circuit and sounding like sh!t.

EDIT: could a Zener 1N4739A diode be used? it says "9.1 v, 1 watt"

thank you all!
