hi, i have a crate gt1200 head and a marshall mg cab (i think). the sound is downright horrible, and i'm trying to record a decent ep for my band. the sound is really boomy and the distortion is downright horrible.

does anyone have any eq-ing settings i should try?

edit: i found a okay setting

Gain: 6
Low: 9
Mid: 3
Treble: 4
Reverb: 2

van halen's setting in the amp settings thread.

The Dean one looks pretty damn smart! Not got any experience with just an inexpensive guitar, I wouldn't bank on it having sound to match those looks..
