NO WAY ITS A JAG! the "horn" on the base side is rounded (no nearly straight lines like jags or jazzmasters) it has a toggle switch on the horn (like 72 teles) and the cutaway is too round.

Did yours have Abalone inlays?

Looks like a Toronado, but that pic borders on ambiguous between that and a Tele.
#14
check the 2005 fender frontline catalogue, i think its the discontinued Tornado HH. but the only thing that puts me off is the bridge, the bridge shown in that pic is the "tech-tonic" bridge whereas on the Tornado its a "tune-o-matic" bridge. im not 100% sure what it is but that my input, maybe custom shop tornado?

EDIT: ^^^ God damn beaten to it, and i was trying to be a smartarse

Looks like a toronado HH pretty much exactly from this model of it

Although, without a picture of the headstock or something, it could be some other brand.

That doesn't look like a '72 Tele at all.

It's not a Tornado, look at the upper contour and at how close the knobs are to the bridge. Plus, the bridge on the pic looks like a wrap-around and that HH Tornado has got a TOM bridge with a tailpiece.

That picture is/was on the Fender website, I had wondered what guitar it was before but I could never figure it out.

I really don't think there's enough visual information to make an informed guess...

Oh hey guys, can someone identify this guitar for me??

That wasn't all that funny.

Anyways,

Maybe it's something there custom shop did? It really doesn't seem to look exactly any production model at all. Kind of a cross between a few, if anything.

This has been posted before, I said toranado, which is the guitar it resembles most and then got "zomgnotitisntunoobitnotevenclose" where as everyone else was suggesting jags ior 72 tele deluxes which it resembles neither even remotely.

There isnt enough of a cutwaway for it to be a tele, its just.. not a jag...

Toranado, or some custom made thing.

It's DEFINITELY a Fender, unless they are in the habit of using other manufacturer's guitars as backdrops on their website.

I say custom. Probably a one-off special request, if anything.

That doesnt even look close, the bodys a totally different shape, different bridge, the knobs are all wrong, different pickguard, different pickups...

Yeah it definatly is some kind of Fender, probably a Tele. I also thought a '72 thinline but the pickguard is different..

Doesn't look like a '72 Thinline at all really. Selector switch is wrong, knobs are all wrong, can't see the cutout, etc.

The weirdest thing is that the bridge doesn't look Fender. Hmm.

Edit: Spartanhero - did you really email Fender? IF so, good for you. Let us know what they say.

well that last pic does not look like the original photo

TS - why is your photo so cropped?

man i wish i could help but this thread has become a joke.

and if you have a question about a different guitar other than the one the TS started with then start a new thread 'cause this one is jacked enough.

looked like a Tele when i first viewed earlier. why oh why did i post here? gook luck.
