1. Wipe off fretboard with dry cotton rag or old shirt.
2. Get a toothbrush (new) and gently clean around the fret bars.
3. Get a rag, put lemon oil on cotton rag... wipe down each fret, don't be scared to put to much lemon oil.
4. Let the lemon oil set in for 3 or 4 minutes and wipe off with rag (don't be afraid to use some force as this will work the lemon oil into the wood and leave no excess oil on your fretboard).
5. Admire your amazing looking fretboard.

7. Profit.

I cleaned mine a couple of days ago with lemon oil. Works like a charm.

i fought you applied it t the fret board directly left and then wipped off

and in total guitar it says get an old ruler and wipe away the crap near your frets

^ i recommend you take one or two more english lessons; the word is thought. and i'd rather use a toothbrush than a ruler, tbh. its a better cleaner, and less likely to scratch your fretboard

expect to set up your guitar, after taking off all the strings.

So where can i get lemon oil? Music shop, supermarket, fleamarket?
Also how expensive is it and will i have to adjust the truss rod after taking off every string.

What is your fretboard made out of mate? If it's maple, then don't rub lemon oil on it. Just a wipe down with a rag should be enough.

If it's rosewood or that type of thing, a nice lemon oil job does wonders.

Its around £4 for a very small bottle, i mean small. But it should last you a few years coz you need to apply only a little bit once or twice a year.
Thank god your guitar was rosewood, if you had taken "texasRG"s advice straight away and put the stuff on a maple neck, well...
