Hey guys

i was at the local music store today and there was a 2nd hand ZW Les Paul (Epi) hung up.

I took it into the booth for a play, and noticed something.

The neck has a finish to it, as if its beem clear coated.

Arent they meant to be bare wood?

If not, then i stand corrected.

Cheers for the help

The Epi ZW is supposed to have a thin satin clear coat on it's neck. The Gibson version has a completely raw, bare wood neck.

If it had a full clear gloss finish on it's neck, then either it's a fake or it's been re-finished. I doubt any half-decent store worth it's salt would be stocking a fake though.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.
