Well, I've been looking to upgrade the graphics card in my computer and I've gotin sorta confused.

First, I don't know what power supply my computer has. I'm worried that If I get a new card my current power supply won't be able to run it. How can I find out what power supply my computer has?

Second, I don't know what type of cardbus will work with my motherboard. I think my computer has a PCI slot but I'm not sure.

Anyways, heres what DxDiag says:

Current Date/Time: Monday June 09, 2008, 07:32:20
Computer Name:
Operating Sustem: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, build 2600)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufactuer: Dell Inc.
System Model: Dell DM051
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A05
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1022MB RAM
Page File: 881MB used, 1557MB available
DirectX Version: Direct X 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

My current card is a Radeon X300 SE 128MB HyperMemory.

I'm on a budget of about $100-$150 USD. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Are you gonna get a card for gaming? Because you'll need to invest more than $100-150 if that's the case.

I'm just looking for a card that will be able to most new games at a reasonable frame rate on low-mid settings.

100-150 Bucks is really all I want to spend. If I have to spend more I think I'll just go out and get an Xbox 360.

I was looking at a card from the same brand:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150294

Which comes with COD4 which is one of the games I'm getting the new card to play(2 birds, 100 dollars). But I'm still worried its not going to fit in my motherboard.

I'm not looking for a super card, just something that will perform decently.

Also, after the mail in rebate the card you suggested Rockin, is at the very end of my budget.

Ram is cheap though, and even if I can't aford some now, in a month I could buy another 1GB of RAM.

If you're looking at gaming, more RAM and definatley a better CPU will be needed.an ATi 2900 would be OK for what you have just now, but would bottleneck on the CPU. Better off with a 360.

No, I don't think I'll need to upgrade the CPU anytime soon. Its above the recomended requirements for most games or just under. 2.8ghz Dual Core, should be fine for a while.

You cpu is fine. You need to find the model of the mother board and how many watts your psu has.

Try the 8600 GT 1GB. It's what I have, and i run CoD4 on medium settings at a good framerate

9600gt is where to go.
