This band is from Melbourne and they have to be one of the best bands i have heard in a long time. There a bit like Parkway and I Killed but with heaps of synth which sounds awesome.

Anyone heard them they are so good.

If not there myspace is http://www.myspace.com/housevshurricane

They recently played with the Devil Wears Prada.

I dont think theres a thread on them yet so i started this one hopefully.
And on the 7th day God created METAL!

First of all, I enjoy deathcore for it's complexity and it's the only genre heavy enough for me

I want an amp good for playing hippie tunes. I want it to be an actual amp, not a tube amp.

I hate how bands like this use the word 'progressive' in their description.

I hate how you look at the picture and think 'go on, surprise me', and they don't.

I hate how they actually sound exactly like Enter Shikari with the dude from Atreyu doing vocals.

Basically, I'm feeling a lot of hate right now.

This band disappoints me to no end. I heard SO MUCH psyche about them, so I downloaded an album. This new electronic breed of mediocre metalcore is gaining popularity, and I think that these bands could do a lot better.

Use the synth properly

Not bad, sounds like a mediocre mashup of PWD and Enter Shikari.

I'd rather listen to this than Sky Eats Airplane,
But that may be a little biased,
Cause I've been pounded with SEA since they started,
They're a local for me.

bump.

Missed them last time, but saw them a few months back.
Awesome band

The first gig I ever went to was TGP with HVH supporting.

I've gotta say, be it the venue or the band themselves, they sounded like ass.

If you like them so much I might check them out next week though.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible for me to like a band that uses synth that isn't Genghis Tron.

i actually like them
house vs hurricane > enter shikari, attack attack and all those other stupid synth shit

agreed. im not a fan of the new album though. its just all the same and really boring to me. they had a chance to become one of my favorite bands and they failed miserably.

i use the new HVH album to steal the keyboard melodys for guitar sweeping... or at least get inspired by them. i was also disappointed, i totaly dug the EP but the fulllengh wasnt my cup of synthcore... i just like the keyboard arpeggios because they have a very strong guitar sweep feel to it
