So... I stumbled across this inlayed tailpiece on Ebay:

Wondering whether it would fit my Aria TA-50 *ducks from flying objects* I contacted the seller but he says it won't fit any guitar with a fixed tailpiece. Grr.

Now if I were to take a small sheet of veneer (2mm or something) with inlay and cut it so it would go around the fixed tailpiece (not the strings)...
- Would doing that have negative effects on the sound?
- If nothing speaks against it how would you attach the veneer to the body of the guitar? I am looking for a solution that makes it possible to remove the veneer if necessary.

Yes, here it is!

And I just managed I made a blooper here... obviously that fake tailpiece wouldn't go all the way up to the actual tailpiece >.<
