I'm just trying to find an easy laid back song to learn for today, just ya know, something i can cruise through. I just finished the trooper + solo. and I wanted something fun and easy. What do you play that is easy like that? Ya know just a buch of sweet powerchords and whatnot. Just no greenday, and I obviously know all of the classic ones (iron man, blitzkrieg bop, rock you like a hurricane,)
Yes my name is Tom Petty.

Well if you can play the trooper, a very nice laid back song which i love to play is Alive by Pearl Jam.

Most stuff by Slipknot or System Of A Down.

Maybe something acoustic? Some Bright Eyes or City And Colour or something?

Or in more of a 'Maiden vein, "Breaking the Law" is good fun.
Of course you probably know that one already.

Some Blur or something is quite easy too, Song 2 or Coffee And TV.

You could try some Alexisonfire, Brand New or Taking Back Sunday too, they usually aren't hard. Same with glassJAw.

You could try something like "One Armed Scissor" by At The Drive-In if you want something on the challenging side of easy.

Hope that's helped.

really chilled out and beautiful song is heartbeats by jose gonzales. Get passed the silly tuning and its a great, relaxing fingerpicking acoustic song
