im just about to record my own symphonic/melodic black metal songs, all the songs are written, and now im at the lyrcs writing stage

can anybody give me a few pointers so that my lyrics dont sound cheesy or cliche? such as "sacrafice a virgin, hail satin" LMAO

im not sure what lyrical themes i want to cover yet, perhaps at the moment gothic-romantic or something, cradle of filth esque?

any advice will be greatly apreciated

Research some greek tragedy stuff, it sounds stupid yeah, but with the right approach it may come out pretty awesome

Or just write about murdering preists and raping the virgin mary?

you could just do what most black metal bands do and sing so un-comprehendably so the lyrics dont matter, sing about lolly pops and rainbows

If I played black metal, I would so do that.

its so ironic, you pretty much have to, or do a black metal version of Don't Worry, Be Happy... yeah... sweet...
