so heres the deal tomorrow is the last day of school and one of my teachers asked me to play for a bit tomorrow however when i get home and sit down i come to find every 9-volt battery i own is dead and i cant find a 9-volt power adapter in the house. i dont have any cash so i cant run out and buy some i asked my mom if i could borrow a few bucks to run out a buy some however she doesnt have a single dollar on her at the moment. i've called and asked my sister if she had any because she's coming over for a bit to visit and of course she has none. i'm not even about to call the people i go to school with because they are seriously unreliable. and finaly i've already scrounged for change and all i came up with is $1.27
-------------------------------------------------------

so heres the deal and i apoligize for the wall of text but this is the cut to the chase

does anyone know of some ultra awesome way to power a Boss DS-1 with out a 9-volt battery or a power supply?

The Myth: Mesa amps were given to us by God, and sound as such.
The Truth: True. God is the CEO and Jesus does QC at Mesa...yup.

im sure the school has a 9volt power supply, check the science room where they keep those small electronic scales.

Sure go to college for like 10 years graduate from MIT and come up with something.. Other then that you have two choices... Battery or Adapter....

Take that back there is a third way cut off some speaker wire and jack you a car battery. Those pedals should hold up to 12 volts with luck.... So splice in the wires and hook up to the car battery... And there ya go....

I know it's too late for this, but get a dunlop dc-brick to power your pedals. It'll save you tons of money on batteries and you'll get consistent power.

Hmm, solar panels but downsize them and put them on the the back or in front of the pedal. The only down side is that you can only play during day time, or whenever there is sunlight.

That looks cool as long as it only has one plug it's worth it. Too many adapters waste space.

for now, go without a pedal.

when you come up wt money, just buy a visual 1 spot adapter kit for $30.

doesnt anything in your school have a 9-volt you can use?

i mean, science rooms (my old physics has like 10 9's and maybe 30 C's, oh the fun with solenoids)?

school store and charge it to your account?

call your teacher or buddies and ask them if they have?

buy other stuff and use a credit card?

Unless you found a way to power electric devices without electric then no there is no way of making a guitar pedal work. Maybe if you scuff your feet against the floor until tomorrow you could build up enough static to make it work for a few seconds.

go to the dollar store and buy one for a dollar. thats where i get them for my pedals and prefer the sound of them
