Hey guys, how are yah?
Few of you should know, that I have a project 4x12 coming along.

I need new speakers though.
I hate fuzzy distortion, which sadly, I have to put up with because of the speakers in my current cab.

So I'm looking for the best non buzzy speakers which retain clarity with a fair amount of gain.

By the way, I'm going for metallica's Orion tone, and other tones for alternative.

Thanks.
Signatures are overrated.

I'm sure you considered V30's & G12T75's?

Yeah, I've considered a mix between the two in an X pattern.
But I'm open to suggestions.

I'd say go for straight G12T-75's if you want the most clarity. V30's are a little on the fizzy side but have lots of midrange. The T-75's also have better bass response, however the V30's are warmer sounding. Yeh, it may be an idea to try the X-shape to get the best of both worlds!

BUT the G12T-75's are renown for their clarity

You could also try Celestion CL80's instead of the G12T75's.
See http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=131643 for some more info on them.
