Too much hate on these forums about half-stacks for some wierd reason...

POST A PIC OR SAY WHAT STACK YOU OWN!

We use half-stacks and because they have a much more defined tone, deeper, more powerful and look cool!

But it's not a bad idea to get a combo if the half-stack comes in combo form and you are on a budget.

damn nice amp, I have a bud obsessed with EVH stacks.. he wants one so bad.

I don't really "own" one but I can play on a Soldano Hot Rod 50 whenever I feel like it.. will post pics later.

Um, it's not that we hate them, it's just that in most cases they are truly unnecessary and not what the ts should be looking at.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

I actually play a quarter-stack (head + 2X12) and a combo (for cleans and vintage gain) so I don't know where I stand...

Isn't there already a group for people with small penises?

Seriously, though... I basically agree with Kevin Saale.

Heres the triple stack o death as i call it.... And yes this is my bedroom practice rig, some claim i'm crazy and I would have to agree with them lol

And some one always ask's.... Yes it is in the closet for a reason, I have parties and alot of my firend's and family members have children so when they come over that door is shut so i can keep them me killing them if they mess with it or it killing them if it falls on them. Also it saves alot of room...

LOL I'm liking the closet business...Do you play with the door closed? I know some people do that in recording studios, and go listen to themselves in another room.

Lol, i just edited my post and said someone always ask's that is some funny stuff...

I've done the recording thing once before with my laptop mic but it was too boxy sounding and also would get way to hot. The reason why is listed at the bottom of my post now.
#12
I agree that half stacks are a great choice... if you have the right budget and it's practical for your needs. Unfortunately neither of these thing apply to most of UG...

Nice gear to those who have posted pics btw...

i'd rather have my amp in a 212 combo, the whole half stack thing is just too excessive, the only reason i have one is the good deal i got it for:

Ibanez AFS75/Fender Strat Plus > Fulltone Deja' Vibe > Keeley TS808 MOD+ > Fulltone OCD > VanAmps SoleMate > Metro JTM45

I got a fourth of a stack where do I stand in this. But I will be getting a half stack soon.

+1, I've been looking for a nice Bogner 2x12 so I can sell my 4x12, stacks are cool looking, but that's about all they're good for imo, but I'll post mine anyway...

haha, +2

I can has unnecessary

they aren't all staying unfortunately.

made a small clip of the Diezel and TRec together today while I had them here though. Thought it sounded pretty cool. Just learning the EQ on both of them though, and not really diggin the G12T75 x V30 I recently put in my cab. Think I'm going back to all V30.

Edit: redid the clip with just the diezel and all V30

How are you liking the Krankenstein?

love it man, it's the Stein+. I would swear the thing was built with 7 string players in mind. I keep trying all these amps that are supposed to blow it away, but I don't have any plans to get rid of it.
