If i were to buy a 1x12 or 2x12 extension cabinet for my VK 112, would it have the same effect as using a VK 212? Such as the sound and the headroom you need for metal.

Also, would an extension 2x12 be too big for a 50 watt?

EDIT: Crap, i meant to put this in Equipment forums, sorry guys.

Mods can move it if possilbe?

I'm interested in that aswell...
I have a VK 212 and I'm having a gig...and one guy offered me to lend me his 4x12 cab.
Can I use it without any problems?

Why don't you two try it out? I doubt it'll short circuit your amps, less you blast the volume too high. Tho your amps are Peaveys, meanin they're pieces of **** anyway, so they might jus crap out on you.

it all depends on your ohms. i'm pretty sure you guys have 8ohms which is the standard output.

Yeah...mine is 8 ohms...but I have a ohm switch in the back of the amp(4,8,16).

Beleive it or not, the VK's arent as liable to crap out as all the others.

I think you'll be fine doing that, the guy at GC that sold me my VK said his recent rig was a VK 212 on top of a 4x12 cab, and it worked fine.

Dude - STFU

#1 - they are well made and sound great, even the Valveking.
#2 - it's not that simple. if you don't match the ohms you could do damage so your post is absolutely useless.

I wouldn't use the Valveking cabs if you have something better available.

112K - 16 ohms only and you lose the interal speaker if you speaker out.
212K - 4,8,16 ohm selectable so match that way and i think you keep the internal speakers but someone would have to verify that.

I'm not the expert here either just tryin to clean things up

oh yeah forgot to mention dont use valveking cabs. their decent but there are so many better ones out there. if you want sound with a budget get a avatar cab. i got a 2x12 with celestion vintage 30 and a greenback. which are found in both mesa and marshall cabs.
