I've been playing for 4 months. I know a lot of songs right now. Some of my favourites include:
Last resort-papa rocah
Chasing shadows at midnight-pillar
The bitter end-sum 41
Toxicity-system of a down
Tears don't fall-bullet for my valentine
Walk-pantera
Zzyxz rd.-stone sour
Roadside-rise against

I love playing these songs. Some for the rhythm, and others like zzyxz rd. Just for the kick-ass solos. So, can anyone recommend some difficult songs to learn?

Try Through Glass by Stone Sour, if you can get all the different parts down and get them in the right places you'll be a better musician for it.
R.I.P. My Signature. Lost to us in the great Signature Massacre of 2014.

Thanx! I didn't think of that 1.

And through glass is a good 1 too, I forgot to put it on my list. Lol. 1st song I learned to play and sing at the same time with.

Haha. If you don't believe that, you wouldn't believe the other songs I can play. Lol. You could name any song, and I could learn it. It would take 2 weeks at most. (Although, through the fire and flames took over a month) I'll make a thread where people can suggest new songs for me to learn.

Learn rainforest by batio. Should only take you a month.

I can't really suggest any until you list the 263 songs you already know Daniel Harrington...

...after all, I wouldn't want to waste your time going over old ground

Maybe if you stopped making things up? There's not even enough time for an experienced player to learn that many songs in 4 months, let alone a noob who also has to incorporate the not inconsequential matter of learning to play the guitar.

Look, I don't know how I learned so many songs ok? I've been out of school for 2 years. (yeah, I graduated when I was 15. I don't care if you believe that either) and I don't practice scales or notes or anything like that. I practice these songs. That's it. Some songs, such as all of linkin parks, take me about 30 minutes to learn each. Some take a lot longer. You have definately made it known that you don't believe me. Fine. But either tell me the hardest song you know, so I have something new to practice, or leave me alone.

As much as I believe it is possible for a genius to be able to list 268 songs they know off the top of their head and be able to play the perfectly and not forget one note.

it's not possible for someone who played only 4 months.

By the way. Starting exactly 4 months ago, playing 10 hours a day like you claim and learn 268 songs is virtually impossible.

Average number of days in a month = 30.

30 x 4 = 120 days

120 days x 10 hours = 1200 hours total.

1200 hours / 268 = 4.47 rounded to 5 hours.

Thats means if you practiced 10 hours a day, learning 2 songs a day you would pick up a guitar and then practice a NEW song for 5 hours and get everything perfect. Then you would never play that song again in 4 months.

LOL, very nice.

Maybe this kid was saying he knows how to play all those songs on Guitar Hero, and failed to realize this website is about real guitars, lol.

I'm sure if you admit that you were lying, we would help you. But I think I speak for everyone when I say we only help people who are mature enough to take the advice anyways.

What advice could you possibly have that would be important enough that I would want to say I was lying? I'm not. I do know 268 songs from start to finish. I write them down as I learn them. I'm really getting sick of this. Look, I plan on taking a break from my guitar playing I will only be practicing for about an hour a day. I have a job and a gf. I'm quitting my bands, and getting a job as a dj. It really doesn't matter how good or bad I am, because in the end, it will never go anywhere. I need a real job that can provide a steady income, so there. Happy now? I give up. I will never be famous, ill never be another hendrix, nothing will ever come from my guitar playing. I've wasted over 1,000 hours of my life trying to find an outlet for my pain. I don't care if people do tell me its amazing how fast I learn. I don't care about the look on their faces when I tell them how long I've been playing. You people have ruined it for me. Does that make you happy? I just don't care any more. Its not a fuc|<ing competition. I played because I enjoyed it. Now, I just don't see any point.

Call me troll, call me psychopath. In the end, I shall stand above you all as you drown in a pool of sex and filth. It will explode your corrupted bodies, and I will walk above the wreckage as a pure man.
