#2
They are quite incredible.
They say the old woman's got the wisdom
'Cause she couldn't read the clock anymore
She said "The numbers don't represent the moments"
Says she don't see what all the ticking's for
#3
doesn't ring a bell.....
I love all forms of Rock 'n' Roll, past and NOT present

Pioneers? They're like 30 years late.
And clenching your fist for the ones like us
Who are oppressed by the figures of beauty,
You fixed yourself, you said, "Well, never mind,
We are ugly, but we have the music."

I saw them in Philly in July, had a ton of fun skanking.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

by pioneers, i meant that they had the balls to revive rocksteady in a day and age when no one else could get away with it.
further, anyone listen to dave hillyard and the rocksteady 7? they are pretty sick too.

dave is a great sax player, and i've had the honor of meeting him a couple of times. i felt like a little girl, but it was like meeting a god or something.

I'm off to see them live, but only cos Pama International are on the same bill.

how proper ****, theyve put on packed shows at both liverpool & manchester before, its a shame theyre not comming back

Go to Sheffield, it ain't too far.

I'm desperate to go to this gig, but my money situation is dire at the moment. We're hoping my boyfriend can get guestlisted at the Corp and then we could split the cost of the other ticket.... but if that doesn't happen, no Slackers for us.
#32
I saw The Slackers with the Phenomenauts for $5 once and it is still the best concert I've ever been to.

And I've seen X and Gogol Bordello.

Tbh I think If I saw Gogol Again they'd probably do better.

When I saw them they were opening for Flogging Molly and nobody in the crowd cared or knew enough to dance.
#33
I'd love to see Gogol.

Seeing them Monday with the Pietasters

Already saw half a Slackers show but that was... mhm...11th grade... so 5 years ago. I saw the Pietasters last 3 years ago.

I can't friggin' wait!!
#39
I've never seen one of their shows, I want to go to one pretty bad though but I met them all twice and had cake with them at my aunt's house a few years ago . Ara Babajian is my Uncle's son-in-law. I didn't really know who they were at the time (I thought they were some small local band form north Jersey) but it was pretty cool. Talked to Vic Ruggiero about some stuff, didn't know who the hell he was other than that he had a sweet goatee and a cool fedora. I met them at a baby shower for Ara's wife then a birthday party for his daughters first birthday. Whether or not you want to call bullshit I don't care, it was awesome even though I didn't know who they were
