Im looking for a guitar under 2 grand (usd).

Required:
Humbuckers only
Thin neck (strat neck would be the thickest)
No chambers (solid body)

What kind of music? :
It would be used for alot of blues and TONS of sounds alot like Jimi Hendrix. Would be used with overdrive, distortion, wah, and reverb pedals more than any other kind.

It would be running through a Mesa dual rectifier or a little champion 600. I liked the taylor solidbody alot, and I think thats what im getting but I absolutly hate the chambers.

Oh and btw no strats.

EDIT: btw no trem systems

I don't mean to be rude but if you want Hendrix-esque tone then you really should be looking at a strat of some kind.

However, for that kind of budget and those specs you could get all sorts of guitars; Les Pauls, SGs, Explorers, a really good LTD or even a couple of Ibanez's fit the bill.

I really dont like single coils at all. When ever I try to play single coils dirty it ends up sounding as good as my singing . And it didnt sound rude at all
As for the gibsons, sg's and pauls (pauls are now chambered ), the necks on those guys are sooo thick. But as long as the ltd/esp doesnt have emgs, im down.

I'm pretty sure they do an old-style unchambered Les Paul now, or at least I remember hearing something about it very recently. As for the ESPs, nearly ALL of the higher-end models have EMGs apart from some of the Michael Amott signatures and one of the MH series guitars.

Theres an ESP LTD EC1000, which comes with EMGs, buuut Seymour Duncans (JB/Jazz) on the amber sunburst model. So have a look at that one. (Theres a pic of the amber sunburst model on there too)

EDIT: Or a PRS of some sort. Like this one, except, its a little bit over your price range, but not much.

Compare a strat neck to a sg. The sg is really big.

I own a carvin, but I was looking for a different brand.

wow. Thats hxc abalone. ^^

What do you guys think about the HORIZON NT-II in desert sunburst?
