This, IMO, has the best mastering in any metal album I've ever heard.

Hip-hop producers are so much more important, since they're far more involved in the creative process.

I suggest you try not to take such a close-minded and naive view of entire genres of music.

Matt Bayles. The albums he's produced includes:

"American Nervoso"- Botch
"Sharks Keep Moving"- Sharks Keep Moving
"This Adultery is Ripe"- The Blood Brothers
"Celestial"- ISIS
"Thelema"- Murder City Devils
"March on Electric Children"- The Blood Brothers
"Oceanic"- ISIS
"Remission"- Mastodon
"Leviathan"- Mastodon
"Menos el Oso"- Minus the Bear (He also played keyboards for the band until their latest album)
"O God, the Aftermath"- Norma Jean
"The Mechanical Hand"- HORSE the Band
"Blood Mountain"- Mastodon
"Curses"- Vanna
"Manipulator"- The Fall of Troy
"Planet of Ice"- Minus the Bear (no longer a member at this point)
"Life Processes"- ¡Forward, Russia!
"Station"- Russian Circles

That's one hella amazing discography, IMO. Also, I'm sure I could think of somenoe else, but Matt's my main favorite at the moment.

Also, major props to Justin Broadrick, but I can't find a good list of the albums he produced. I'm sure he might have produced a bunch of his own, but, like I said, I can't find a list.

EDIT:

I FORGOT STEVEN WILSON!!!!
