Right.. I'm a bit worried about this..

I have a double action truss rod, which is pretty much identical to this:



Which way up should it be installed? I'm guessing that the rigid metal bar goes on the top/fingerboard side, then the adjustable rod section is on the bottom/neck side.

Also, where should the truss rod lie in the neck, in relation to the nut? I'm not quite sure where to route my truss rod channel atm.

The adjustment nut thingy should be on the bottom, and approximately start on the headstock side of the nut (so that the block bit its threaded into is directly under the nut).
