ok guys, so here's the deal. i recently got a new laptop. it has Windows Vista on it, but it has (imo) good enough specs to deal with it....here's the list

Intel dual core 2 duo 2.5 ghz proccessor
4 gigs of ram
Nvidia geforce 6800m GT

so, short of getting XP, is there anyway i can get it to record without lagging? it's really been bugging me.

thanks!

Is it lagging while recording...or are you talking about the lag of the playback while recording? If that is just it turn off trhe playback.

It's not incest, but it's not masturbation.
It'd be closer to incest than masturbation, but I don't think there's a word for it.

I'm not too familiar with audacity but I'm pretty sure everyone has the same problem that all recordings are a bit behind. Thats why there is a shift tool to realign the track after it has been recorded. As long as its in time it shouldn't be a problem to realign the track.

yeah, it works aparently on all recording programs, just tinker with it
so it should

1. install it.
2. open it.
3. open audacity
4. go to audio options in audacity
5. change the input driver from what ever it is to Asio driver

Edit: im just downloading audacity so i can help u out if u have problems
