I was thinking of buying an acoustic
but i don't know whether i can give up my electric
are there any major advantages to having an acoustic
or should i just stick with electric??

YOu should try to play both at least because playing acoustc is a bit different from electric. You have to press harder and be more precise so in the long run i would say its an advantage.

Well i started on acoustic first and then got an electric later.

i wanna buy an acoustic to do both.

there's some songs that take an electric, and other songs that take acoustic.

Acoustic takes more finger strength. But really I go through phases of playing one or the other. It's hard for me to go back and forth because everything changes.

Playing acoustic is a bit harder on the fingers, since the strings are farther from the neck. But I find that after I play acoustic a lot, playing electric is so much easier, since I've built up finger strength on the acoustic.

Acoustic guitar has a slower responce time than electric. Also in my opinion it is way more fun to play. Keep in mind that they handle and sound very different. It is much easier to transition from acoustic to electric than it is to transfer from electric to acoustic.

Every guitarist needs to have an electric and an acoustic in my opinion.

I really think that every guitarist should have a really good acoustic, a les paul, and a strat.
