I played, or rather held but that was just enough for me to know, a 50's maybe 60's Baby blue(Daphne?) Strat with this high gloss and super smooth neck and fretboard. It felt like heaven was in my hands; easily the smoothest most beautiful guitar I've ever seen.

What problem? Don't you like me????

No no! It's just that this thread has been done at least thousand times.

But I guess you're a March '08er so I won't complain about you doing it just once.

Just wondering though, do they make 7-sting Strats?

Actually I've always wondered this myself. On the one hand its not exactly in character for stratocasters but fender has had a lot of odd models that died or were rare or odd but did in fact exist.

The guitar shape below, with some mods:
Cut some width from the lower section of the body, to make it a little less fat.
Chrome hardward. Shinies.
Ise a Gibson style stopbar. I just hate the look of string through electrics.
Put a decent set of pups on there. With chrome covers.
Abalone inlays on the fretboard. Moons and stuff.
Locking vibrato bar.
Neck binding.
Quilted maple top with a glossy nitro finish, black burst edges and a dark, crimson red in the center.
A more standard headstock.
Increase the length of the top horn slightly.

This space foreclosed, due to the ailing economy.

Custon shape body
Alder body
Neck thru
Gotoh tuners
OFR with locking nut
Seymour duncan blackout pups with active/passive switch
Ebony Fretboard
Jumbo frets
Custom paintjob

And of course, it would be a 7 string. I'm actually working on obtaining said guitar.
