So, the pick-ups on my Strat have the metal for the G and D stings elevated.

Is there anyway I can lower them so that they can all be on the same level?
They're all single coil if that helps.

Yes, which is now pretty much invalid.


They were staggered to make up for the older sets of strings, with the wound G strings, and the smaller fingerboard radius.

Nowadays 90% of people use unwound G strings, and slightly larger fingerboard radius.

It doesn't make THAT much of a difference... but some strings may be louder than others.

I wouldn't bring them down if I were you. It can damage the pickups on some models.

Are they supposed to be that way? I'm just curious since I've seen other Strats
with the metal at the same level. And the G and D stings play a bit loudly...
