hey
i want a 12 string( ), and finally, i also have money for what i want
my budget is, well about 400-500 dollars, but i can push my parents to give me an extra hundred dollars, which makes it 600(though id rather not to spend that much money)
in my area, the acoustics i can choose from are:

YAMAHA 720S-12
http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Yamaha/FG-720S+12-string/10/1

yep that it not a big selection in my town.

if you can tell me what you think of this guitar i would appreciate it!
if you can also give me some more guitars in that price range, ill be glad to hear it!

BTW im going to want to be playing alot of John butler on it, and ill tune it to open C tuning

thanks alot!

TS, guitar looks okay. Solid sitka top, full binding, and all that jazz. Looks like those pegs are just black plastic tho.

Have you considered: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alvarez-Artist-Series-AD60S12-Dreadnought-12String-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=518738

I feel compelled to mention it as its the one I own and its roughly the same price range.

That Yamaha is a good choice. As is the Alvarez listed above.
If the Yamaha is all thats around then go for it. They are really good value guitars.

I just bought a Yamaha FG 720S-12 yesterday. I paid $309 for it at an independent music store. I wanted a solid top 12 string and didn't want to pay over $350. I'm impressed with the low action and shape of the neck. My wife has a Yamaha FG 410 that she bought in 1988. Her guitar's sound keeps getting better as it ages and I'm thinking that the sound of my FG 720S-12 will as well.
I have to admit that if my budget had been $100 or so higher, then I would have looked more into getting a Simon & Patrick 12 string. I'm very happy with my Yamaha, but the Simon & Patrick 12 string seems to be a quality guitar as well.
