Hi there,

I recently acquired a (legal!) copy of Sonar 7, updated to 7.2. Since I'm relatively new to this program I would like to ask if any of you know a nice piano and bass guitar plugin that would work with this program. I currently have a few midi tracks that I want to give the proper piano & bass sound you see.

Any input would, as always, be appreciated =)

Are you looking for a VSTi to create a bass track or just a VST to process the bass track?

I can't comment on the VSTi, but if you have a bass track down already try Googling for Helian's 1st and 2nd bass plugins. I use Helian's 2nd to fatten a bass track and quite honestly couldn't live without it. It's also free...

That sounds awesome, I will check it out now. Thank you!

Any idea on a piano plugin? And yes the whole midi track is layed out (just a simple export from guitar pro, im covering a song and only playing the guitar tracks myself, as a test for mixing).

Sorry I can't comment on the piano plugin. Maybe some other multi talented UGer can chime in on that.

On a side note, FrettedSynth (the dude that makes that bass plugin) took the plugin off of his site =_=.

Any other way to acquire that plugin?

EDIT: Nvm, found a nice bass plugin called Rogue!

Theres not much in way of nice 'free' piano plugins. You'll either have to live with the Sonar/Roland GM synth already in the program, or put out $100+ for one of the options such as True Pianos, Pianoteq, NI Akoustik Piano, Garritan Steinway etc.

Hmmm I didn't realize he took them down... that sucks.
