Not good. Gear here is like 10-20% more expensive. But that's according to the shop I go to.

definitely not good. not only is it expensive here, the gear here is also limited. why would you do that when you can get better and cheaper gear in the US?

to ilkp:
is that shop Audiophile, JB Music or Yupangco?
Ibanez RG321MH (Air Classic/Tone Zone)
Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)
TC Electronic Nova Repeater
Lava Cables Clear Connect, Soar and Mini ELC

I go to some shop in Raon. I don't really buy gear there, just some minor stuff like strings, picks, those sort of stuff.

BTW, what's Yupangco? What brands do they sell there?

Why would you do that ?
The US is by far the cheapest place in the world to buy gear overall.
Gear:
Orange tiny terror
ENGL 2x12 cab

Yupangco is one of the largest music shop/chains in the country. yupangco owns perfect pitch and yamaha phils (i think....). they sell fenders, squiers, marshall, boss, line 6, washburn, yamaha, godin, jackson, roland, korg and other stuff.

i dont go to raon. i hate it there.

wow I really didnt expect this many people from the Philippines here

I live in Missouri, but I am filipino (my dad is from Los Banos, and my mom is from Bicol)

I would think that there are some nice knock off type stuff for somewhat cheap :/

Are acoustics expensive there (filipino made that is) ?

Buy a Balisong.

But wouldn't you have to pay taxes if you brought gear back?
