I dont have a guitar yet and was wondering if the RG321(not the MH) was a good one to get. And if it matters i have a spider III 15 and am leaning twards metal

It's a solid barebones guitar. If you like the feel of an Ibanez go for it. I have nothing negative to say about it...

I love mine, especially with the Breeds in it.

just keep in mind you won't have a tremolo that way.
and you probably need to change the pickups.
i'm not sure if the neck's fast either.

The neck being 'fast' shouldn't be a problem. It has a thin Wizard II profile neck which IMO is pretty thin. And if you don't need a Floyd, then stick with the RG but go with the MH. (:

Like Necrophilic said, you might want to change the pickups after a while (not before you change that amp).

Meh.
Its a cheap ibanez, which is never good offcourse. But then again, there arent any good cheap guitars, so...
Yeah, you could try it.

BUT

id go shop second hand. You can score alot better guitars than than for 250-300 second hand.
