Of course, maybe not. But I'm seeing my personal doctor in the morning tomorrow.
For now, what could be the causes of reddish urine, or even a light brown?
The last couple times I've urinated, the first time was blood red.
Second time was light brown.
Any ideas?

Liver infection. i did a project on urinalysis this year, and i believe you have blood in your urine. i'd reccommend that you get to that doctor asap, it's not healthy at all.

possibly kidney stones. either way, best of luck!

UG IS NOT A DOCTOR, so its good that you are seeing one. Hmm, but on topic, it really could be a bladder infection.....

Seriously, don't get medical advice from the Pit. Might as well ask a moose.

Colon cancer.

I'm not kidding.

how would colon cancer cause bloody urine?

the Colon is where sold waste goes. before being shat out. It doesn't link to any part of the urinary system to my knowledge

small tumor on bladder maybe, if your urinating blood. If it is that its easily removed.

This makes sense to me, but then again, I was just gonna tell you to rub some Icy Hot on it.

As mentioned, tumors.

But to be perfectly honest, I don't know the details. My cousin got colon cancer though, and that was one of his first serious symptoms.

Another thing that might be useful to know is: How long has this been going on? If it's been on quite the while, then go to the doctors first thing you do tomorrow. It's NEVER a good idea to ignore medical situations.

Could be many reasons though. Bleeding in the abdomen, Hematuria, and,,, Here it goes.... HEPATITIS! YAY! Hematuria is caused by tumors or kidney stones in the prostate, bladder, urethra, etc. Hematuria is a state when you have red blood cells in your urine. Bladder cancer maybe. Who knows. The doctor will. In time.

P. S: But you might be dead before that as Hematuria and other possibilites can be lethal.
It's been an honor pitting with you.

Just started today.
It happened the first time I urinated, if that makes a difference.

You could have UTI.

And no self-respecting doctor will be hanging out here in the Pit. *I'm sorry for any real doctors that may be here now*

red urine is an indicator for haemoglobine (Hb) in the urine.
Some causes are already mentioned:
-infection in blather or urether (postrenal causes)
-glomerulus suffering (interrenal causes) can be a lot of different things (tumor, ANI, CNI, watheva)
-infection in spleen, liver (prerenal causes) which causes abnormal high levels of Hb

The medic will test your blood and urine to check for proteinabnormalities ea creatine, ureum etc
Most of the time you dont need to worry...

[retty much a golden answer there. Beginning of kidney stones is a possibility also. TS, is there any pain in your lower back at all? Pain is a great indicator of kidney problems, be it kidney stones, or glomerulonephritis.
