(No, this is not a thread where hundreds fight over whether rap or rock is better)

I just wanted to know what genre of music is this song. Please finish it till the end, cause it has like a guitar solo, a distorted guitar in the chorus, and a long solo in the end. I'm just confused, me and my friend are arguing about what genre is this. He said it was rap, I'm saying it's rock.

I'm not even going to listen to it. I'm just going to point out that it is very easy to cross genres, so this debate is really stupid.

well hes rapping,
but you can't call it hip hop because there are actual instruments playing
so i'd say rock

but i also agree with the blues pop

I could have sworn the title said rock or rape...
I'm a little disappointed...

But, I'm gonna go with it's more rock than rap. Or go with blues pop like some other people have said. Either way, if you like then, well, listen to it.

Jesus Christ. You think just because there are instruments means it is rock and not rap? Have you ever heard of The Roots?

The Roots, anyone?

It sounds like something John Mayer would do, therefore, blues pop.
