i have a Paul Reed Smith SE custom and i just got a new strap from my grandfather, but id like to put straplocks on before i use it, any recomendatioins?

I use Dunlop's, and I like them, they're a nice piece of hardware. The Deluxes can be used as normal strap buttons as well, if you forget your normal strap.

Uhm.. . no real difference as long as they work. Just buy one.

Didn't know we had so many Schaller whores.

Actually, I despise Schaller tuners. I haven't found a decent one, yet.
Sincerely, Chad.

And I've actually had that experience. My strap ripped at a show back in September. Sent my guitar into the stage. Grabbed a backup strap and kept going. Straplocks still stayed locked.

My friend uses Schallers, I use stock strap buttons. Schallers are better of course, but my strap buttons work fine for me.

a metal washer I stole from a tin beside the fridge in my kitchen. it works well, and I only need one on the bottom of the guitar, not on the top horn. I've never had the strap come of the top horn, so I think it's on there for good.

heres my explanation in MS Paint

i buy guitar fetish straplocks and they more than serve their purpose. the cheap gold coating comes off, but so what, who cares for 10 bucks, they hold my axe perfectly, and come off easy.
