Hey, i own an Ibanez RG350mdx and recently changed string gauge to 10-52 slinky's. I tried doing it on my own but failed miserably. Fortunately i met someone who is quite technical with guitars and sorted it out for me.

Even though he sorted it he said that the strings were quite heavy for the neck on the guitar. Am i better getting a thinner gauge next time? Could constant playing on this gauge damage guitar in anyway?

Cheers, Andy

I used to have 10-52 on my strat and it don't cause any damages. 12-54s can damage your neck I think.

I really wish I could say you're funny and cool, but that would be like saying Africa doesn't have a poverty problem.
