I tried out Boomers but didn't really like the feel off them. Also they wore out quickly. I play in drop tunings, Drop B and Drop C. What are some good drop tuning strings? I'm trying the thicker Elixirs out this time but for future reference what are conidered the best?

use anything 11 guage + i prefer dunlop or D'Addarios plus if your gonna go heavier you might want to make the slots in your top nut a lil bit wider not to much but until the strings fit in nicely.
You can do this with a nail file (ask your missus) and if you do to much put a splash of super glue in them and start again.

beefy slinkies? I tried a set once and was happy enough.
Im a bit of a D'Addario fanboy, though between the two sets of 11's i preffered the ernie balls.
better tone to them and they lasted longer.
