so i bought a esp ltd ec 1000 deluxe and when i turn the bridge pick up all the way up it cuts out and doesnt play and im curious on why it does that. Do I have a defected model with defective emgs?

Could be a bad switch (unlikely), bad solder joint in the guitar (very likely), a bad cable (plausible) or your amp (unlikely).

maybe the batteries dead on the bridge pickup.

He never said he had EMGs for one. Two, it doesn't cut in and out when the batteries go down, and three, the circuit runs off the same battery. It does not effect one part of it.

i use a monster cable that works fine with every other guitar ive used it for

sounds like a bad potentiometer
i suppose you could send it back. but if it is a bad pot, that's a really simple fix
you could try spraying electronics cleaner in it and see what that does
