Im pretty sure somebody has already asked this, but I couldnt find it. What is a good EQ setting for funk stuff? (RHCP more specifically)

for funk guitar i use 6 bass 8 treble and 2 or 3 mid

This is sigable almost.

Don't lower your mids. It sounds fine when bedroom practicing, but when jamming you'll just sound like mud. Mid's are the guitars frequencies, without them we don't cut through the mix and just sound all mushy.

^ i only use those settings for funk. i just like the tone for that specific genre. anything else, especially using distortion sounds muddy using those settings like you said. so thanks for clearing that up Doodleface.
