The reason I asked was because I saw something on elderly instruments that said that they were made in Mexico.

I believe that only the baby and big baby guitars are made in mexico.

no taylor has moved production of the 100 series to mexico as well the 2oo series is still made in america. Also the mexican plant is about thirty miles away from the main taylor plant where the 200 series and up are made.
