This thread has been done twice before and since I have no life, I'm now working on keeping it updated and maintained . Basically, all of us know of smaller bands that get next to know credit for what they do and deserve it. Or maybe you know some local bands that are really awesome and you want to give them some support. Well, this is the thread you can use to let others know .

If you are going to post a band, tell the genre/subgenre, country the band is from, and a link of some sort (myspace/band home page).

Many thanks to P1ayingW1thF1re for giving me his permission and support in redoing this All original credit for this thread goes to him.

Distorted are much more doom than they are death, just pointing out.

And I demand Melechesh to be considered Israeli! The band came together and recorded in jerusalem, and just because Ashmedi disowns that label doesn't mean it's not true!

WE KNOW YOU ARE A KIKE, ASHMEDI!
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.
For unrivaled obedience, user King_ofKumbucha is awarded this spot of honor.

Melechesh and Wolves in the Throne Room are far too well known to deserve placement in this thread.

Red Sparowes are post-rock, not metal.

Darkane aren't progressive in the least bit. They're melodic thrash.

Sleep are a landmark band, and Om are very well known. Both are stoner as well, as opposed to straight doom

^^Decrepit Birth and Odious Mortem are big enough, not sure about Vale of Pnath either.

imo if Ne Obliviscaris is up there at least Odious & Vale should be.... The only place i've heard any of them mentioned on is here, and Ne Obliviscaris gets so much mention on UG Metal forum.

Also, Vale just released an EP and they're unsigned so they're pretty new and need the support.

what the hell are Cranium and Holy Terror doing in black metal?
I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

I didn't write 99% of the goddamn list man. And it's not F1re's fault either, he asked for people to tell him the genre, if they said Black Metal, he put 'em under black metal.

Alright, Odious and Vale can stay. I checked 'em out on MA and they should be ok.

Myspace is ****ed up on my computer, and I can't check if each and every said subgenre is legitimate. It's up to you guys to tell me the subgenre, so obviously someone messed up.

add Psypheria to death metal. http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=4217

no myspace unfortunately. if you search them up on a torrent site or on amazon i think you can find their sophomore LP "Embrace the Mutation" Pretty awesome DM with keyboards for atmosphere.

EDIT: they're not together anymore just to let you know. btw for the sound.... think of emperor or dimmu borgir's keyboard elements mixed with suffocation.... except better.

EDIT 2: Actually think of Nocturnus' The Key... except more technical and brutal but with those great contrasting keyboards

I thought Disfiguring the Goddess were more Grindcore or Brutal Death. I haven't listened to much of it in a while so I may be wrong.

And I thought After the Burial were more deathcore.

+666 for Dawn of Demise being up there. They deserve recognition.
