i've been thinking about the SD pearly gates, but I've come across a FREE HZ H4.Anyone have experience with a H4 in the neck?If so, how is it?

i think those are usually bridge pickups?
emg passive right? im pretty sure thats a bridge pickup but im sure you could try it =]

try the emg actives, but if you dont want to work at gettin stuff done with the battery and stuff thats understandable

yeah it's a passive.it came out of the neck from the original guitar that it was in.

i have an esp w/ an 81/60 combo. i'm putting the hz and the l500 in a cheap used dean zx.i don't wanna invest too much money in it really.

everyone hates em, thats cuz they dont have batteries and are EMG's.
i have a set of em on my damien.
i love them.
like em better than active emg's. good chug, the neck can get some very decent cleans
if you know how to use it.

a cube 60, and really no particular sound to be honest.my main guitar covers pretty much all types of heavy music, and the guitar that the HZ might be going in is gonna be for everything else.
