Ok, the search bar didn't find me any threads on this so here goes:

Is it just me or is the main character of the new movie WALL-E a rip-off of R.O.B. from Super Smash Bros. Brawl? He just looks like a more low-tech version of R.O.B.

EDIT: I don't care if they ripped it off, I'd just like to hear your opinions on it.

Coincidental.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools

Silly kids. R.O.B. is not new to SSBB. R.O.B. originated as an artifact of the video game crash (1984 I think) as Nintendo realised they needed a gimmick to sell their console above the numerous similar consoles, since as so many consoles existed, there was a huge risk of choosing a console that would fail and be a waste of money. R.O.B. helped to set the NES apart from the other video game consoles.

He danced along you playing the console which appealed to kids.

He was something to differentiate the console for retailers who were reluctant to sell video game consoles after the crash.

Toy Story (the 1st one) was their only good product.
Everything else is crap.
Finding Nemo and Cars? Puro pukefest.

Well I've always thought Mexico was in America so all Mexicans are American...

What's your point exactly?
