I am about to buy a second bass [hopefully something below 300GBP/600AUS$] and I was wondering if an extra string hinders popping or slapping - any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Sometimes, because the strings are closer together. Play before you buy it.

Didn't you say that you had a stuffed fox that you would occasionally fuck?

depends what style of slap you play.... flea style it will be a little harder because the strings are closer together but the other way should be fine...maybe even easier

when Moses brought down the plagues upon Egypt one of them involved Behringer amps

from my experiences with 5-strings, it's a little harder at first but you get used to it pretty quickly.

This. Soon it just becomes another string you have to stop ringing, which you then barely think about.
