so... i mostly listen to fast, heavy, and just crazy stuff, but there are a few accoustic songs i really like, such as slow motion by third eye blind and some of the foo fighters accoustic stuff on in your honor. all of the other accoustic music i hear bores me, anyone have any suggestion because id like to find some more mellow music that doesnt bore me, which is hard to find. i know i have kind of a strange taste in that department of music. thanks.

People keep asking us where Paul is. That's a really funny question. See, if Paul was still in the band then we wouldn't have a new fucking record. That's why Paul isn't in the band anymore. (by Maynard James Keenan)

Alice In Chains unplugged album.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Shinedown - 45 Acoustic, Simple Man, The Crow and The Butterfly Acoustic, and Save Me Acoustic.

Hurt - Anything you find acoustic from them is flat out amazing. Rapture, Falls Apart, Ten Ton Brick, Loded, Nothingman, Cold Inside, Alone With The Sea, Assurance, Omission, Danse Russe, Unkind, Talking To God... Yes, you can find live acoustic versions of ALL of those songs.

Iron and Wine epic fails.

Internet memes and using the word "epic" as an adverb both "epic fail."

I can't believe no one has said this yet, but check out Eddie Vedder's soundtrack for Into the Wild. It's a great album, and it's all acoustic.

Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" is one of the best songs ever written.

If you have a taste for emo, "I Will Follow You into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie is a great tune.

The Israel Kamakawiwo'ole cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" is a beautiful song. (I know its a ukulele, but you can get the same effect on an acoustic with a capo.)

I think Jeff Buckley also has some acoustic stuff that's pretty swell.
On a stop light green means go and yellow means slow down, but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means, 'where the f*** did you get that banana at?'

I agree for the most part. Sam Beam is extremely boring.

Eric Clapton's Unplugged album is what got me into playing guitar

Bon Iver is godly, if you haven't heard him/of him, I seriously recommend it for acoustic music.

Any of Led Zeppelin's acoustic songs are amazing, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Poor Tom, Going to California

Dr. Dog is an indie-rock band that's amazing, but I dunno if you would consider their songs acoustic. They have amazing lyrics and are fantastic songwriters
