Is there one riff you ALWAYS PLAY everytime you turn your amp on? like ALWAYS right after you turn her on?

then i play it modally, starting on the 2nd then 3rd etc..

"The mind is its own place, and in itself

Can make a Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n"

- John Milton, Paradise Lost
Bed Of Razors intro's the one I play all the time lol, even some times, I don't realize I'm playing it.
Iron Man and some Rhythm 12 bar blues style thing.
My Gear:
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Fender MIM Stratocaster
Yamaha Pacifica 112v
Epiphone G-400
Cheap acoustic

Roland Cube 30X
USA Big Muff PI
Dunlop Crybaby Wah GCB-95
when on acoustic I play the C, G, D chords from Patience by GNR, the intro of way to heaven by buckethead or a classical song called romance anonimo.

on electric with dist I play holy wars by megadeth or jump in the fire by metallica. if i am in good mood, i play serrana by jason becker.

on a clean electric i play one or welcome home by metallica or blood brothers by iron maiden, oir cemetery gates by pantera

on drop C or D I play either the riff from bad horsie by steve vai or marty friedman's elixir

Thanks fer settin me straight on that Justice

I was thinking that too, Justice usually seems like a pretty knowledgeable guy.
I usually play the opening riff to Rainbow's "Man on the Silver Mountain" and the "Death Mask" bit of Sabbath's "Into the Void."
This space foreclosed, due to the ailing economy.
Mother North by Satyricon... Goddamn, I've tried to stop playing it for nearly a year. I just can't resist.
The solo of Metallica's Seek and Destroy and the intro of Metallica's Saniturium.
random powerchords, alway fallowed by main riff to Iron Man
This works for almost any situation....

Punch it. Punch it until it goes away.
usually the 'vomit' riff from Hourglass - lamb of god, that always gets me in the mood for some serious riffage.
The first part of the Tornado of Souls solo.

Oh riff, doh. Some random Megadeth stuff, symphony of destruction etc etc, I'm on a Megadeth phase at the moment.

Either the main riff to Rust in Peace...Polaris (RIP part) or the intro riff to Seek and Destroy.
Usually Welcome to Bucketheadland bridge or Giant Robot (below)

     E E E Q Q. E E E Q. Q E E E Q. Q

   E E E Q Q. E E E Q Q. E E E Q. Q

   E S S E E E E E E E E H.

although I do play Electric Tears a lot, too

Depends... if my amp's on the clean channel I always play SRV- Lenny. If it's on the lead channel I'll usually play some kind of windup or random blues penatonic wankery.

Check I'm in tune, at least with myself, then a quick little bluesy bend lick; pre-bend from F# down to E then pull of to D and pick B all starting on the G string and staying in the same position. Then some open down picking to get my riff hand going a bit.

whenever i check to see if i'm in tune on my acoustic, i play the intro to pride and joy by SRV, but on my electric let's see

standard tuning: just an E power chord, or an A power chord.

Drop D: the intro to terror and hubris in the house of frank pollard by lamb of god, or one of the riffs to black label by lamb of god.

other than that, it's just a power chord riff i'm working on, or a slowed down version of the duncan hills coffee jingle solo, because i'm trying to learn it.

Usually strum an E chord to make sure I'm in tune, then the first little run from Cliffs of Dover. I love the sound of hitting the open E string and then bending up on the 15th fret. Glorious.

That kinda thing, usually
assorted parts of "fear of the dark" if its set to some distorted tones, or the intro to "this is a low" if its in a clean setting.
I piss around the G minor pentatonic scale. Don't know why, but I always start with that scale.
A power chord riff that I make up on the fly, or Master of Puppets usually. I'm so original.

Edit: Also this sort of Slash-esque lick I made up, in free time:
