Well I'll be buying a jazzmaster in the very near future . But I have come to discover that the CIJ ones (that I am buying) hav stratocaster like pick-ups in.
So I'm going to replace them with the American versions which are more flat and widely wound.

However, as a lot of stuff I play is the Black Keys, I was wondering if it would be beneficial to replace one of the pick-ups with a Twin Blade humbucker and the other with the USA jazzmaster pick-up?

And if so, which are the better posistions? ie blade at the bridge or blade at the neck?

Well, Dan Auerbach has a Dimarzio twin blade in the neck of his Telecaster, so if you want Black Keys tone, that would be a good place to stick it.

Cheers, after looking for the pick-ups, there are many versions which have twin blades, do you happen to know which one would be best? Eg, the Fastrack 1, 2, T, Chopper etc...

No clue. I don't know much about that brand. I would go with a medium output model though, not something too hot.
