so what's the difference between all of these Ernie Ball strings?
Regular slinky, extra slinky, hybrid slinky etc.
Rockin' shit

The gauge of the strings. Check EBs website for the exact specs of each type. The supers are lighter than the regulars and the hybrids are a mix of regular and heavier gauge.

well the lighter the string, the easier to play(especially tapping, and slap n pop)

the heavier, the harder to play, but you can downtune without the extreme slack

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

Thinner strings have a 'thinner' tone. It is the best way to describe them. Some people also find them easier to play on.

Lower guages have reater string tension, and are more manly.
